Yorkshire Dales stars in popular TV series
Adrian Edmondson visits Dales’ sheep farmers, the Owen family, on their remote farm in Swaledale.

The second series of the fascinating ITV1 programme, The Dales, has returned to our screens on Mondays at 8.00pm.

Presented by Yorkshire-born comedian and actor, Adrian Edmondson, the series brings us the stories behind a summer in the life of the Yorkshire Dales. Many local places and landmarks are featured in the programme, including the picturesque town of Middleham (with its 12th century castle that was once home to Richard III) and the spectacular natural phenomena of Asygarth Falls.

Why not come and experience the life and countryside of the Yorkshire Dales for yourself by booking a holiday at The Old Vicarage? We are perfectly situated at the heart of Swaledale, enabling guests to visit the many local attractions on offer or just soak up the rich sights and sounds of the stunning Dales’ landscape.
