For the sixth consecutive year, The Old Vicarage in Swaledale has received a 5 Star Gold award from VisitEngland for 2014/2015. This is the very highest rating given in this national scheme for benchmarking holiday accommodation and makes us one of the top self-catering properties in the Yorkshire Dales.
A Quality in Tourism assessment report described The Old Vicarage as:
"A very well presented property that continues to offer a very high standard of excellent, comfortable and well maintained accommodation. It is sitting comfortably at the upper end of the Five Star Self Catering range."
It is also mentioned that an "excellent range of personal touches and accessories further enhances overall guest experience" and highlighted the "extremely impressive and extensive range of leisure facilities."
The Old Vicarage scored the top level in all assessment categories including: cleanliness, management efficiency, facilities and each individual accommodation area. It was first assessed at the Five Star Gold level when it re-opened under new ownership in 2010 and has kept the rating ever since.
