Inside of The Old Vicarage

Kitchen areas

The kitchen is at the heart of every house and The Old Vicarage kitchen does not disappoint.

Family kitchen

The Old Vicarage kitchen is well equipped with all the mod cons that even the keenest of cooks could desire, but retains a genuine country feel. There is a generous farmhouse-style wooden table for informal dining, hand-painted units, dishwasher, Rangemaster cooker, under-counter larder fridge, microwave and solid wooden worktops. Bright and colourful pop art pictures give it a cheerful and up-beat feel – making it a perfect place for breakfast at the start of the day. Even the view from the porcelain sink is amazing!

Utility room

Next to the kitchen, the spacious utility room offers extra storage, a tall larder fridge and under-counter freezer, plus a washing machine, ironing board and iron, dryer and sink. There is also a Sheila Maid to hang your clothes to dry when its not suitable to use the outdoors washing line. This keeps the kitchen free for cooking, dining, and socialising, ensuring everything runs smoothly during your stay.

Pet room

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Old Vicarage but must be properly controlled and supervised at all times. They are not allowed in the house living spaces but we have provided a special room – just off the utility room – for them to occupy.  This opens onto the small courtyard. The room has a heater, water tap, large low window and external door, and is equipped with a comfortable dog basket and basic accessories. In the interest of hygiene, please bring your own soft bed. Dogs should not be left in the pet room when guests go out.

We also ask that guests clean up after their dogs - both inside the pet room and outside of the property, including the surrounding fields - or extra cleaning costs may be charged. Dog waste should be double bagged and put inside the bin liner in the dustbin that is located in the rubbish/recycling shed. Thank you for helping us to keep The Old Vicarage clean and hygienic for everyone.

If you’d like to bring a dog or other pet, please let us know at the time of booking, so we can confirm you are happy with our policy and discuss suitability. A surcharge of £40 per dog applies.  Please see our pet policy.
