We visited to celebrate a 50th birthday and were so amazed by the surrounding views. It was so peaceful and the cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Upon our arrival we met the owner Julia who was very warming and welcoming. All eight members of our group had a fantastic time and we would recommend anyone to stay. Great spa and games room facilities!

The house is beautiful, so light and welcoming with every need catered for. Smashing welcome hamper too - top notch!! Best morning of the week was the very lovely stroll down the fields and along the gorgeous River Swale, glistening in the sunshine. Thank you for a fabulous stay. Everything was exceptional. The children and adults enjoyed using the leisure facilities and a highlight of the stay for the children was grooming the Highland cows. We managed to see numerous hares, a tawny owl and barn owl as well as a peregrine.

Had a wonderful time with all the family - the pool and games facilities are second to none!! The rolling fields surrounding the house, the beautiful snowdrops, cattle, the owl swooping around the barn were amazing. But, the best entertainment was from the three hares - madly chasing each other around the trees, under the gates, over the stone walls! Priceless!

Our third visit and once again it was simply the best. It is a beautiful home but it is the thought that you put into every aspect of the experience that makes us never want to leave! We have had a super time. The pool, gym, Jacuzzi, tennis, table tennis have been fabulous. The scenery from here is spectacular and we have enjoyed many a walk up and down to the River Swale and around.
