Order now for Swaledale Highland beef - experience the best!

Marrick Park Highland Beef is a rare gourmet experience and those who have tried it come back for more, time and time again. Stocks are limited and the beef is only available a few times a year.

We are now taking orders for 10kg boxes that will be ready for delivery at the beginning of December. They will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis and this will be the only chance to buy before Christmas.

Reared on the banks of the River Swale, the Marrick Park Highlands are fed exclusively on limestone grassland for several years. This is because Highlands are slow ‘converters’ and mature gently to a stage when they are ready for consumption after 36 months rather than the 24 months of most modern beef breeds. We go one step further and wait until they are 48-60 months for maximum flavour. They are then butchered locally at Bainbridge and the meat is left to hang on the bone and mature for at least four weeks to develop its full flavour.

The result is a high-quality, succulent and exceptionally tender meat, with a distinctive flavour that is unique to the Highland breed. It is also lean and well-marbled with lower levels of fat and cholesterol and a higher Omega 3, protein and iron content than other beef – making it particularly healthy and nutritious.

This locally produced delicacy is also fully traceable and benefits from a low food mileage required by today’s discerning customers. The Highlands are part of a conservation initiative to manage biodiversity and the natural habitat of Swaledale.

The 10kg boxes are currently priced at £14 per kilo representing excellent value for money. Each one contains a variety of cuts, which are vacuumed packed for freshness and can be kept fresh in the fridge for two weeks or frozen if required. They are ideal for sharing with family and friends or giving as presents.
