Treats fit for royalty

We pride ourselves on the quality of our welcome hamper. A recent guest commented that it was the best she had ever seen and that’s what we are aiming for!

Wherever possible, we like to feature local produce and enjoy seeking out new delicacies. The latest find are the delicious luxury chocolate bars handcrafted by expert chocolatier Kathryn Cuthbertson (pictured).

Believe us, this is no ordinary chocolate. It is REALLY good and so it should be. Kathryn has a career spanning over 30 years working within some of the world’s finest hotels and Michelin star restaurants and latterly spent over a decade as Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Royal Pastry Chef. Her portfolio includes creating menus for state occasions and royal events.

She has now founded her own small business a couple of villages away from us and produces bespoke chocolates in small batches for an elite clientele.

After the obligatory tasting session (well, somebody had to do it!) we decided that the bars of chocolate should be shared with our guests, alongside the other welcome hamper produce which includes locally sourced cheese, cake, biscuits, eggs and more.

Kathryn also takes cake commissions, so if you are planning a celebration during your stay why not get her to create something extra special.
