Spring has definitely arrived in the Yorkshire Dales. Young lambs are in the fields, daffodils are opening, the curlews are mewing and the early dawn chorus makes waking a pleasure. All this, coupled with welcome warmth from the sun when it shines and lengthening days, means that there is extra incentive to get out and enjoy the wonderful surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales.
There is plenty to see and do in the area for all ages and tastes, please see our section on things to do. In addition, we are always happy to advise about the many local events taking place during your visit, whether it is music and food festivals or open air theatre and historic re-enactments.
