Like most parts of Britain, we have been enjoying an unprecedented run of fantastic weather. Each day we are greeted with huge expanses of blue sky and the sun has been constantly shining.
This means that guests have been making the most of outdoor living at The Old Vicarage - from alfresco meals in the garden to taking picnics down to the private stretch of river and just sitting watching the cool moving water under the shade of the river bank trees.
For those venturing out and about, there has been the temptation of the local ice-cream parlour in nearby Reeth or the numerous pub beer gardens that provide welcome refreshments whilst exploring the Dales by foot, bike or car.
There are also plenty of summer activities, with open gardens, outdoor theatre and the popular agricultural shows for which the Dales are renowned. You just can't beat it!
