The Old Vicarage joins England's top 100 'warmest welcomes'

We are delighted to announce that The Old Vicarage has been singled out to recieve a prestigious customer service award from VisitEngland, the country's official tourist board.

The ROSE Award in Recognition of Service Excellence is made annually to only 100 accommodation providers across England out of the 20,000 establishments assessed under VisitEngland's nationally recognised quality rating scheme.

Now in their fourth year, the awards put the spotlight on those accommodation providers who give visitors the warmest of welcomes and go above and beyond to make customers' experiences extra special.

VisitEngland Director, Patricia Yates, said: "From B&Bs in beautiful countryside and glamorous glamping, to boutique hotels, to quintessentially English pubs with rooms, a range of outstanding accommodation providers right across the country are being recognised (by the award). It is the human touch that these people provide that make visitors' experiences memorable, ensuring repeat business and helping the industry to thrive."

The Old Vicarage currently holds a 5-star Gold Award under the VisitEngland rating scheme (the highest possible ahievement), an accolade that has been achieved each year since re-opening under new ownership in 2010.
